Dr Robyn McConnell

 

Robyn graduated from the University of Queensland with honours and spent several years working in Queensland Hospitals gaining experience in a diverse mix of medical and surgical specialties.  She joined the Family medicine Program in 1991 and went on to gain the Fellowship of the RACGP.  She also has a Bachelor of Science degree obtained at the University of Queensland prior to undertaking her medical degree. Robyn has a special interest in Women’s Health but enjoys the diversity of general medicine.

Dr Michael Honore

Mike graduated from the University of QLD in 2016 and completed his GP training in 2021. Mike is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Practitioners (FRACGP). Mike has special interests in palliative care, geriatrics, cardiology, endocrine & primary/preventative medicine. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his daughter enjoying an active outdoor lifestyle.

Dr Rashmi Mathema 

(Accepting new patients)

Dr Rashmi is from Nepal & has resided in Australia since 2016 with her husband and daughter. Rashmi studied her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Kathmandu Medical College, Kathmandu University, Nepal and graduated in 2006. She went on to complete her Diploma in Child Health at Westmead Hospital, Sydney in 2016. Dr Rashmi gained her clinical experience in Australia while working in Tasmania before settling permanently in Hervey Bay. During this time she worked at the Hervey Bay Hospital and has been in general practice since January 2021, completing her GP registrar training at Fraser Coast Medical Centre in August 2023.

Dr Alisdair McGrouther

Graduated from Edinburgh University Medical School in 1985. His experience is considerable, involving training in hospital specialists predominantly in Scotland and New South Wales, vocational training in General Practice as well as a period as an expedition doctor in Kenya. He has diplomas in child health, obstetrics and gynaecology and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Alisdair's special interests are Child Health and non-insulin dependent diabetes. He has been a resident of Hervey Bay with his wife and children Duncan and Sally since 1990.

Dr San Lai Kyi

San completed her vocational training at Fraser Coast Medical Centre in August 2022. San studied her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in Myanmar (Burma) and graduated in 2010. San gained her clinical experience in Australia while working at the Hervey Bay & Rockhampton hospitals as well as a GP in clinic in Maryborough.

Dr Maria Zin 

(Accepting new patients)

Dr Maria is from Myanmar and has resided in Australia since March 2020. Maria studied her Bachelor of Medicine at the University of Medicine 1 in Myanmar and graduated in 2017. Dr Maria gained her clinical experience in Australia while working at Ipsqich Hospital between 2020 & 2022, before commencing her GP registrar training at Childer's Dr's in January 2023. Dr Maria completed her GP registrar training at Fraser Coast Medical Centre in January 2025.
